Brooklyn Bugs was invited to record with Pickler and Ben last week, and quickly booked a pop-up at RISE to celebrate their debut in Nashville!  Working with the Rise Nashville team, they collaborated on a special tasting menu featuring edible insects, and will give a special presentation to discuss why the UN endorses edible insects to address food scarcity and sustainability around the world.  

*Please arrive promptly at 7pm as the food will be served in courses beginning at 715pm.  

Brooklyn Bugs x Rise Tasting Menu:  

-Grasshopper Hashed Potatoes - pimento cheese, pickled jalapenos, crispy onions

-Manchurian Scorpion Avocado Toast - vine-ripe tomato, golden egg, aioli  

-Cricket Crusted Fried Chicken - cricket buttermilk biscuit, pickles, cheese

-Mealworm Biscuit Cinnamon Roll - brown sugar, pecans

-Black Ants Creme Brulee yeast donut - vanilla bean pastry cream

Brooklyn Bugs Festival 2.0

Details:  Brooklyn Bugs returns for its second festival after a whirlwind year of high profile press, touring, and presentations.  This year will be highlighted by the first ever BugsGiving Banquet Dinner, the Thursday before Thanksgiving, and will feature edible insects as the primary protein source prepared by Chefs David George Gordon aka “The Bug Chef,” and Joseph Yoon.  There will also be Ento-Cooking Demonstrations, After-School Children’s Programming, Cocktail Parties, screenings of the Smithsonian Channel’s “Bug Bites,” and much more...
