LA Bug Fair

It was labeled as an East vs West (coast) battle of the ages between two ento-chefs, but the love and respect we shared onstage was infectious as we prepared six dishes for the audience at the bug fair Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. What an incredible time full of love, humor, and edible insects! A very special thanks to our co-presenter The Bug Chef, David George Gordon, to all the staff and volunteers at @nhmla, and to all the beautiful attendees.

The Battery is pleased to welcome Brooklyn Bugs for their debut in San Francisco for a hands-on, delicious presentation of edible insects. Nine delicious bites of food will be offered for each guest along with a special bug cocktail, as Chef Joseph Yoon gives a presentation on why this is not the newest food trend, but a movement that the UN endorsed in their FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) Report in 2013.

Friday, May 4th - We had such a fun time sharing nine edible insect dishes and frolicking with everyone at The Explorers Club! We couldn’t have asked for a better audience to share our food!
NY Entomological Society Dinner
Tue, April 17th - We are very excited to host the New York Entomological Society's monthly meeting with a fun night of edible insects, insect cocktails, and presentations. The menu will feature ten unique and delicious dishes that is sure to have everyone buzzin' with excitement.

We are happy to participate with the students at St. Joseph's College NY’s Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management for their their upcoming event Not So Scary Foods this Friday the 13th! The students organized the event, and we couldn’t be prouder to work with them. We’ll be speaking on a panel, and also share some delicious #edibleinsect bites with everyone in attendance. Monday, March 12th - We are honored to participate at the Small Plates Big Hearts Gala to support the Food and Finance High School - NYC's only culinary high school. Please join host Chef Tom Colicchio to sample from some of NYC's finest chefs and restaurants while celebrating this year's theme of INNOVATION.
